The global burden of congenital heart diseases (CHD) and the emerging pediatric and adult population with complex CHD and complex surgical procedures in Kuwait, other Gulf and international countries require concerted and coordinated action from professional bodies involved in acute to chronic cardiac disease management. The Conference of Congenital Heart Diseases- Fetus to Adult in Kuwait will bring pioneers in CHD and acquired cardiac diseases management in Kuwait together on 13, 14, 15 and 16 January 2010 in the energetic State of Kuwait. CHD is the commonest congenital malformation in newborn that causes early neonatal death if it was missed. The international incidence of congenital heart disease rates is 8 per 1,000 live births. The management of these CHD continues to expand and progress all over the world from fetal cardiology, MRI, CT scan imaging to 3 D echo, TEE, Intra-cardiac echocardiography, interventional and surgical procedures.                                                                                                                 
The meeting is hosted under the patronage of his Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Hilal M. Al Sayer jointly organized by the Kuwait Ministry of Health and Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialty. This conference is organized to study the most recent update of diagnosis and treatment of CHD and other acquired cardiac diseases from fetal life to adulthood. It is my pleasure and honor to invite all professionals interested in CHD management, to grace this conference by their active participation and benefit from forming regional and international alliances in creating a united effort against CHD from fetal to adult life.
