Ra-id Abdulla, MD, FAAP, FACC

 

Dr. Abdulla is Professor of Pediatrics (Pediatric Cardiology) at Rush University. He is currently Program Director of Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at Rush Center for Congenital and Structural Heart Diseases at Rush University Medical Center and Associate Chair of Pediatrics for Academic Affairs.  Dr. Abdulla is the Editor-in-Chief of Pediatric Cardiology, an international, peer reviewed journal published by Springer-New York with international wide submissions and distributions.

Dr. Abdulla was trained in pediatrics at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix Arizona, followed by training in pediatric Cardiology at the Medical College of Georgia.  He subsequently joined the faculty of Rush University in 1992.  Between 2002 and 2007 Dr. Abdulla was a member of the faculty of the University of Chicago prior to his return to Rush University.

Dr. Abdulla’s interests and responsibilities in pediatric cardiology at Rush University include care of children in the cardiac ICU, echocardiography including fetal and trans-esophageal echocardiography.
